I follow AgencyLayoffs. Its the ugly truth to the industry right but at least its a heads up as to whose hiring and whose NOT hiring.

My boyfriend’s brother in law twitters for the Today Show. He targets moms, but he’s really forward thinking. He’s a producer trying to make the switch to the digital side of life. He’s not getting anything extra toTwitter, but he feels it is necessary for the show to keep up with things, so he does it. He mostly teases the show, which can be a really smart way to use Twitter. Even if you’re not the demo, check it out…he’s really smart about it.

Just two days after I post this, Mashable put up a great list: Twitter Professors- 18 People to Follow for a Real Time Education:

    http://mashable.com/2009/02/16/twitter-professors/

I’d love to have a similar, advertising related list! Do share…

The Palmerston Group has taken on Twitter in a BIG way. We have been building a network of Trendspotters all around the globe. Search “The Palmerston Group” on Twitter and check out our feeds from all around the world. From Buenos Aires to Dusseldorf, we’re growing our network every day.

Speaking of which… we’d like to find someone who’s interested in taking over our Los Angeles feed. If you’re interested, please contact me at daniel.berkal@thepalmerstongroup.com

Deborah Morrison (@debkmorrison) writes on her blog:

Some folks you follow on twitter for the info, some for the entertainment. I follow these because they always offer something I want to read:

    1 — @edwardboches
Come up w/ one amazing idea that makes u unforgettable. It’s hard not to hire someone if you can’t get them off your mind.

    2 — @neilhimself
Tell them something you believe, that you’ve learned, about how YOU see the world. Trust them & don’t lie to them. Make good art.

    3 — @undermanager
Things were written: other interestings: I’ve been thinking about what we do for Interesting..

    4 — @tweetpostsecret
From my mailbox today: “Before I mail a bill I don’t want to pay, I stick the check between my BUTT CHEEKS, then I put it in the envelope.”

    5 — @presentationzen
